i know there's a topic on the 15" and 17" MBP comparasion.
according to Apple's site, their laptop's sizes aren't that much different, just a few centimeters deeper. the MBP is actually thinner than the MB.

MB: 13" 1.08 x 12.78 x 8.92 inches or 2.75 x 32.5 x 22.7 cm
MBP: 15" 1.00 x 14.10 x 9.60 inches or 2.59 x 35.7 x 24.3 cm
MBP: 17" 1.00 x 15.40 x 10.4 inches or 2.59 x 39.2 x 26.5 cm

but everybody knows that the 17" is very huge (and heavy), so i need to see them side by side to know for sure how much bigger the 15" is compared to the 13"

If at all possible, I would suggest going into an Apple Store or Retailer yoruself and judging that way, as pictures can be deceiving. I thought the 17" would be too big, but in-store I realized that it was only marginally bigger than the 15".

15" is the perfect size. MacBook is great, but I prefer the 15" MBP's higher res screen. The 17" is way too big, a friend of mine has a 17" Alienware, and it's huge, he's wanting to sell it because he can't find any normal bags that it will fit into. It also is too big to use on flights, as the gap between the left hand arm rest and the right hand arm rest is too small to allow you space to put your arms as well...
