Well there was no mention of Safari in todays Setvenote so where do you think Safari is headed, its getting pretty old. What would you like to see in a new revision of Safari.

A one way road trip to hell with Safari. A fresh install of Panther, and Safari 1.1.1 (with OS X 10.3.2) ends up crashing 20 times in two weeks. Unacceptable! For the writeups I do with bugs/error reports I might as well spend the time writing them up, since it takes that (quick) to crash Safari under "normal" browsing. With Jaguar, Safari 1.0 was highly stable, and it rarely crashed...but not with Panther + a full erase and install. 
Until then, f*** Safari. I'm on Mozilla 1.5 (I guarentee you that Mozilla is NOT an acronym for a drug), and it has yet to crash on me in its last, oh, about 12 hours of usage: setting up my bookmarks (MANUALLY, since Safari has no f***ing Export option!!), finding content on a web page, switching between different installled themes, etc. Mozilla 1.5 has not crashed.
AND...it's faster than Safari. I tested Safari TWICE with CNet.com's bandwidth tester: returned 22Kbps dial-up. With Mozilla 1.5, I got 23Kbps dial-up. Interesting...and 1.6 is almost due out.

There is one thing that I found really annoying about Safari. When you are trying to load two pages at once or you have mulitple windows open, the safari has a very s..l...o..w.. response time. That really bothers me.
Tradionally, Apple has released minor software updates later on in the week after a keynote. So we could see Safari 1.2 later this week.
I'm surprised their was no Keynote 2.0 update. It's over a year old now, and yet FCE went to 2.0.

There have been numerous bug fixes/enhancements posted to Dave Hyatt's blog, which is undergoing a redesign. We should see an update soon.
Safari is nothing but fast and stable for me on the many systems I've seen it on, Panther and Jaguar. Not sure why some people have so many problems.

when it does come, it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against OmniWeb 5. If it doesn't, I'll switch. OW5 looks sensational.
I'm not sure about OW5's tab implementation. The previews look nice, but I don't like the huge drawer window. I prefer Safari's sleekness...and price.
Safari is getting a bit long in the tooth as far as updates go. It's fairly solid but hasn't had any new features added in a while. Well maybe the focus will shift back towards software a bit soon, now that we've had all these gadgets announced. I haven't even been using Safari at all over the past few months. I decided to give OmniWeb a fair shake and I've been very happy with the experience. Minus the frequent crashing. OmniWeb 5 is coming soon though and looks like it will blow everything out there out of the water.
There's an app called Synergy that puts iTunes controls right in the menu bar at the top of the screen. I don't have the link handy, but it ought to show up in a Googling.
I'm also surprised that so many people are having such serious Safari trouble. I had to start using Safari because Mozilla (and Camino) would routinely crash on me whenever I sent a webmail. And Mozilla/Camino were much slower to load. Odd.

Personally, i like Camino better Safari, less crash and response faster, and i love its Aqua interface, the brush metal on Safari makes me feel too cold, and price the same as Safari, can't beat it.
Safari has crashed exactly twice on me. I've used it everyday since it come out on my lowly Pismo Powerbook.
Back to the topic, I hope Apple resists the temptation to load Safari up with new 'features' every few months. As long as they keep up on the compatibility front, I think they've got it just right.
EDIT: Maybe an iSync button somewhere for quick syncing of bookmarks... that would be handy.

On some Java and flash stuff, Safari just doesn't cut it... then I have to resort to Opera usually.

I'm not worried about Safari + IGN --> extended CPU usage, but more of: Safari "hangs" for about a minute when trying to view some content at IGN...for many pages. No other browser did that.

I love Safari. No problems with it whatsoever; even works on my bank's web site. It has crashed on me exactly once, when I tried to watch the HP iPod video on cNet the other day.

I don't know how you guys managed to hose it up, I've got it on all my machines (see sig) and it works on all of them.
However, it could be better, here's my wishlist (which I've sent to Apple too:
1. Better Java support.
2. More standards support.
3. Bring the debug menu to the front, especially the User Agent, so I can switch to Windows MSIE 6.0 when some stupid website requires it. (BTW, I've mentioned this before, but if you don't know how to get this, go into Terminalafter shutting down Safariand type:
defaults write com.apple.safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
to get rid of it type:
defaults write com.apple.safari IncludeDebugMenu 0)
4. Pop-up blocker is great, but how about the ability to allow certain pop-ups, like the one from T-Mobile that allows you to Log Off their wireless networks.
5. A slightly less zealous and more accurate Auto-fill.
6. A better Password manager.
7. More stablity in Panther, I experienced a few crashes with 10.3.2 that I've never had before.
But, Safari is a nice browser and I like its goodies, like the Google search bar, Snapback, and the bookmark management.

eaxctly. the way I browse I open several (5-10) tabs at one time, and it bother me when I have to wait for most of them to load beofe I can jump to a fully loaded tab. this is a fixable situation.
I don't ever have this problem and I usually start Safari and click on a bookmark folder to have it open them all in tabs, (7 including four macrumors pages) and I never notice even a slight slowdown.
