Hi,
I've read somewhere that non-US people will not have Siri maps (and something else) integration until 2012 (when?), but I was wondering about other Siri features, such as dictate messages and mails, asking about wheather etc for nations out of the first batch of deliveries, such as Italy, where I live... If you go on the italian Apple web site http://www.apple.com/it/iphone/ there is absolutely no mention about Siri.... does it mean we won't have Siri when 4S launches? Do we have it if we select English language or does apple lock it since it sees that we live in Italy?

Thank you in advance for any news about that, I'm waiting to buy the new iPhone and I hope we'll enjoy Siri soon..

Basically the current stance on iPhone 4S siri is that you will be able to do basic things such as web searches, setting timers, dictating notes & texts, the weather, making phone calls & having a conversation with siri.

If you try to request traffic, businesses, or local surroundings you will just get a message of "i'm sorry but i can only search for business, traffic & maps In the U.S with U.S dictionary on".

Based on a UK 64GB model!

You live in one of the lucky european countries (UK, FR, DE) that got the 4s soon.... my problem is that the italian site does not even mention Siri at all... so I'm afraid it won't be available at all at the beginning in Italy :(

During the launch they announced that it would initially only be available in English, French and German. I'm not sure if Siri will still be available in Italy if you're prepared to speak another language but that's probably the reason it's not on the Apple Italy site.
