A worthless post with a worthless link. One man publishes his pet peeves. Another man agrees with him and wants to visit them upon us. I am perfectly capable of making my own list. I am sure that most Apple customers are as capable. For those who are not, enjoy.Anyone see this list on Timesonline? Care to comment?

Is that really the best they could do?
If only everyone else could make Apple's "mistakes."
For the sake of bickering, it is the drive space which is being recycled. It's not as if you lose storage space whenever you empty the bin/trash/recycle/compost/whatever.Just to add to one of the points above . . . interesting how in the "recycle bin" nothing actually gets recycled. Once it's emptied it disappears. Another dumb naming convention.

"Cruft" is a good name for the Trash. "Toss Cruft".
Cruft?
Is that a real word? Never heard of it.
Where is the iPod HiFi and that $100 leather iPod case?
Hey, stay off the HiFi's case - yeah it's overpriced by at least $100, but damn if it isn't cool!
Cruft is a perfectly cromulent word.
#9 - They mis-read the market, and adjusted their price accordingly. Would you have preferred they kept the price sky high? The people who whined about paying the Apple tax to have the first iPhone are the same people who tossed their first gen. phones and paid a non-subsidized price to get the 3G the day it was released.
I shouldn't have been drinking my coffee reading this. I now need to clean my monitorCruft is a perfectly cromulent word.

That's not true. By your standard, nothing is a convention. A more reasonable standard is that a convention requires a critical mass. By any measure, the majority of computers on Earth run Windows. "Recycle Bin" has the critical mass to qualify as a convention. LTD is correct. Because it is a dumb name, "Recycle Bin" is an example of a dumb naming convention. It's only a convention if everybody does it. "Recycle Bin" is therefore not conventional by any means.
