Is anyone familiar with the adjustments available in the new Photos app?

I typically like to process images through Aperture's adjustments:
Color Monochrome (selecting either black or white, and adjusting intensity,, often to 1)
Exposure, Brightness, Mid Contrast, Shadows, Contrast, Definition, Recovery, and Black Point.

Are these (relatively basic) adjustments available? Are they in any reduced/simplified form compared to Aperture?

Very reduced and simplified but it seems to have everything you use. Using it now, it is way too limited for me.

Check out this screenshot from the Verge, it shows all editing options that you used in Aperture:

Adjustments are:
Levels
B&W conversion
-- Intensity, Neutrals, Tone, Grain
Sharpen
-- Intensity, Edges, Falloff
Definition
-- Amount
Noise (limited)
-- Amount
White Balance
Color
--Saturation
--Contrast
--Cast
Light
--Black Point
--Contrast
--Brightness
--Shadows
--Highlights
--Exposure

and a very responsive histogram to watch all of the changes. As to being simpler than Aperture? It's a very small subset so it will certainly be simpler in a direct sense. I'd say comparable on the functionality that's similar - sliders essentially in both cases.

Here's a screenshot with most of the adjustments showing.

The icons to the right are:
- one-touch enhance
- rotate
- crop
- filters
- adjust
- retouch

The controls seem to work well enough...
