Finally - got some time away from the office over the holidays and found the space to sit down and really get creative on my new iMac. It was the 4th after 3 returns and finally accepted at the end October.
I've didn't rush (partly due to the disappointment of the returns - gradients and freezes) and took my time setting up. Got the hubs etc I asked for at Xmas and finally had everything in place..........
.............OMG this thing absolutely screams - one minute I'm starting to sort out family photos, next thing I know, I've got pretty much the whole iLife suite open (not garageband) - sorting out photo's, importing CD's, converting video clips for my
touch and TV, email open, safari open and all whilst importing DV clips of our summer holiday.
Thing is, I never noticed the iMac slow down for a second, even when screen sharing with my wife's macbook.
After all the issues I've read about and (posted here), I'm just absolutely thrilled with this new machine and enjoying it more and more each day !!!!!
