Following on from the iPod camera attachment (you could transfer photo's direct from your camera to iPod) i would like to see a way of connecting my DV Cam to the iPhone and transfering the video onto the Flash memory

iPhone run's OS X - iPhone has Quicktime , all that it would need is say the DV codec's on the iPhone to enable transfer of footage and maybe a basic editor to convert and compress the footage. and of course the apapter like Mini Firewire or even USB

this would save me carting round my macbook when i'm out and about

and failing this - which most prob will happen BTW a Video recoding utility with a basic editer -a Blogger's Dream , one device that will do it all :)

What would you like to see ?

lol thats just mad - Duke Nukem Forever ?:D

lol...in all seriousness though, I think most people would agree that a native iChat would be nice. Maybe a Yellow Pages app would be nice. But mostly I'd just like to see a few additional features in the current programs.

All in all, I'm pretty much satisfied with what's there. I love my iPhone!

yep Yellow Pages - the times i've been drunk in a pub trying to remember the name and number of a taxi :D

you'd think i'd take note of one when i was sober  one of life's little mysteries

Yellow Pages

iTMS games (Tetris, Bejewled, Poker, etc)

To Do List (revise Notes or Calendar to include this)

1) eWallet (pocketpc secure notes / password manager)
2) SSH
3) Remote Desktop
4) Real Notes and to-do's

password manager for sure.................an absolute must have

and then, not really an "application" but the ability to save and retrieve files to the iPhone memory, i.e. pdfs, word docs, ebooks, etc.

global "search" application, that would search across contacts, calendar records, notes, etc.

and of course..........a nice chat application

1. MMS- It's a royal pain in the butt to figure out how to email things to someone elses phone. Seriously, just make the iPhone seamlessly translate phone numbers in your phonebook to a mobile email address automatically at the very least. It's a clunky patch, but it's something.

2. Yahoo Messenger- iChat is fine and all, and I'd be happy to see it, but most of my friends / colleagues have settled on Yahoo as their IM of choice. At the very least, it would be nice if the iChat on the iPhone supported yahoo.

Something like Microsoft's Live Search would be cool. I have it installed on a WM device and, to my great surprise, often prefer it over Google Maps.

It starts out with main sections, like Maps, Traffic, Directions, Categories, Movies. Movies instantly gives a list near you.

The Categories section is a fast Yellow Pages interface. Want a seafood restaurant? Easy, just tap Restaurants , then Seafood. Done. Up comes a list sorted by distance. Or you can choose map view, and flick/zoom it. You can click on any entry for autodial, of course, or add to contacts or text message it.

Need a taxi? Tap Transportation, then Taxicab Services.

Same for finding any kind of store, service, whatever. All about two-three taps away. Beats the heck out of typing in the category for a search.

White Pages I never expect to happen, because they make so much $$ off 411 help. I know, my wife uses $30 worth each month!

it really should have a 'finder'.....just a place you could view your files on the hard drive of the iPhone and also open them and files you can send/ recieve via bluetooth and add attachments to emails.....

password manager like Wallet
IM App

and a eBook reader or better yet a filebrowser interface so that you can use your iphone as a hard drive too and a PDF viewer. editing would be nice but i can be happy for now with a viewer/reader.
