Buy adobe. With so much money in the bank apple could easily afford a purchase of adobe. Anyone else think this is a possibility? Apple likes control this seems perfect.

First, do you have any clue how much adobe is worth? No.

Second, apple has a thing for killing crappy software solutions, not propping them up.

Yeah about $4,890,568,000 If the balance sheet off of yahoo finance is correct.

Yes but it could open up a whole line of pro apps. They could also make flash an open standard aswell.

Why would Apple want to buy Adobe? They are fine just how they are currently and all their applications run on OSX. The reason for no flash is because flash is clunky, vulnerable, and a resource hog.

I support Apple for not going with Flash. Flash is something of the past. HTML 5 is the future and is secure. Also your battery life would be gone with flash enabled.

True, but it would give apple the ability to change its performance. Or maybe I'd like to see what apple can do with Photoshop.

Why would apple want to suddenly embrace flash when from day one with the intro of the iphone they've been trying to push the industry PAST it?

Photoshop is already a great product. They need to focus on the software/ hardware of their own products first. However, I would like to see interfacing with the iTab and Photoshop at some point.

I doubt Adobe would ever sell out to Apple. They've had beef for a long time, and it would definitely be a source of conflict in the Aperture V. Lightroom application debate.

And if pigs could fly we could solve the energy crisis by riding a pig to work.

hahahah. i liked this.

To the OP, I don't think Apple is interested with Adobe ATM, and their sales have been doing fine(read: really good) without flash. So why even bother?

I WANT FLASH!!!! >< i think we might see this with iphone OS 4.0 with multitasking :D:p

Earlier: I think it will be in 3.0!

Even Earlier: I think it will be in 2.0!

After iphone launch: Don't worry guys, this is just the beginning of this iphone product, surely they will update it to include flash, just you wait!
;)

Those who learn nothing from history are bound to repeat it.

Fossile fuels are a thing of the past as well but good luck owning a hydrogen powered car today based on the possibility of an infrastructure being built for hydrogen powered cars tomorrow. ;)

I support a web appliance being able to render things commonly found on the internet.

Also your battery life would be gone with flash enabled.
Yet some how laptop and netbook users manage to get buy. Those poor, poor souls must struggle so much each day bearing the burden of being able to view Flash content if they so choose. My heart goes out to them. It really does.
