what application to open it with

hey guys sorry if this is a stupid question but i can seem to figure it out. i clicked on the link that the dev-team has on their website to download pwnage tool then downloaded it. but when i try to open the file it say to choose an application to open it with and i have no idea what i am supposed to use to open it. can someone help me out with this? sorry for the dumb question, i just got my mac a few days ago and still don't know that much about it.

Could you tell us what device you're using (3G/3GS/iTouch) and which OS you're running? (3.0, <3.0, 3.0.1).

If the file you have ends in .dmg, you just have to double-click the file and Mac OS X will mount it

If the file you have ends in .torrent, you have torrent file. You will need Transmission or other BitTorrent client to open it.
