I hope I'm posting this in the appropriate place.

Where, other than here (I don't have access to the Marketplace, and cannot see myself reaching 250 posts anytime soon; I'm only a sometimes-visitor) would y'all recommend trying to sell Apple hardware? In particular, I'm currently trying to sell a Mac Pro MPX module GPU worth thousands of dollars (I'll avoid mentioning exactly which one, to avoid treading on the "don't do Marketplace posts outside the Marketplace" rule.) I don't really want to take a $500 loss on an eBay fee to swap out my current GPU for a newer one …

Any advice? Are there communities I don't know about? Perhaps somewhere people put pro-video equipment on consignment? I just posted to the r/HardwareSwap subreddit; but I don't expect to see much action there (it's usually used to list *much* cheaper gear; and I don't even see much Apple gear cross those pages at all.)

A direct sale will yield you the most profit. Any dealer will need to make their profit off the item, be it eBay or other reseller. If you're in a area with suitable target audience Craigslist can be a good place. I've bought and sold mid-range Apple gear that way. Also used eBay when I needed to reach a larger audience or find items not available locally.

This is a good idea; I hadn't even thought of Craigslist. Posted there!

The best prices for the seller are always through a private party sale. And not just computer parts. Pretty much anything is this way.

Used cars are a classic example. Heck, some of the used car price guides like Kelly Blue Book actually list a separate expected price for a private party sale.
