What are the actual power requirements of the MBP 16" M1 Max 10 CPU/32 GPU MacBookPro18,2 (A2485 - 2021) and can it accept a 100W USB-C power input?

I'm looking at using the Targus USB-C universal Quad 4K docking station with 100W power delivery via USB-C with a MacBookPro18,2. The Targus tech support folks seem to believe that this will work based on some 16" M1 Max MacBook Pros seemingly accepting the 96W power bricks, but I have only seen them using the 140W power supply bricks.

Is it possible to use this Targus 100W "docking station" to fully power the 2021 A2485 MacBook Pro or would it require the MagSafe connected in addition?

Shouldn't be any trouble powering it. You may not be able to charge it as quickly.

As far as I've heard. You'll have both the 100W by cord and the battery to draw on.
