What are the chances to get a rootkit and\or keylogger in OSX ML ?

I'm not concerned about viruses, but rootkits, keyloggers and other identity\info theft are really concern me.

In Windows system, there are some keyloggers that doesn't even need admin rights to install themselfs (just burrowing into the user's profile).

Is there any chance to get infected with those kind of stuff with OSX ML (if I'm really not careful and clicking everything) ?

If you give the installers your password, then you should be worried.
AV software is not needed if you employ the proper security steps on your Mac.

What about unpatched security vulnerabilities? They're not necessarily "viruses" or discrete piece of software that even requires your password. They can be your friendly neighbourhood PDFs or web pages.
