What are the must have menubar apps?

What are the menu bar apps that you use frequently, or that you can't live without'em, in Ventura?

In my case, I use the following:

1. PCalc (menubar scientific calculator).
2. TG Pro (computer internal temperatures and fan speed).
3. TinyNotepad (fast access notes in the menubar).
4. Dolphins 3D Lite and The Lost Watch 3D Lite (free background live wallpapers).
5. WikiTab (fast access to Wikipedia from the menubar).

I'm just wondering about other menubar apps that I need and just don't know it yet .

I need a calendar widget. I use the one from iStat Menus. I use 1Password's menubar widget a lot. Also, I use MonitorControl since two of my monitors can't be controlled by my Mac directly.

When I'm not using an external monitor, I have to turn off menu bar apps because they get lost behind the notch.

Do you mean the ones that are in the notification center?

If you mean those, I've looked at the various flavors of it (upcoming events, month view). They just aren't as useful for me. I prefer to quickly click on a day of the month and have the list of upcoming events, relative to the selected day, displayed underneath. I rarely have to open the real calendar to get the details I want.

I also like being able to pick the color (shocking pink at the moment).

You will probably want to start with Bartender. It lets you decide which menubar apps appear in the menubar and which appear in a “spillover” panel available when you need them. You can also rearrange the order of the icons. Definitely a valuable tool. I keep about 2/3 of the icons hidden and they only appear when i click on the “…” Bartender icon.

Big fan of the Rectangle app, which I use all the time when teaching on Zoom. It lets you snap windows to fill sixths or thirds or halves of your screen. Super useful when juggling a lot of PDFs, ePubs, Safari windows, etc. Also features a menu bar item.

This is "almost" the utility I'm looking for! But Rectangle resizes the windows when I want to move them to the left, right, bottom and top positions. I just want to move the windows, not to resize them...

I already tried Moom. I didn't liked it. And I didn't saw the option to move the windows using the keyboard only, without resizing the windows. Rectangle is better, it's free and Open Source.

It is a custom option to move only. It defaults to move+resize

Consider my calendar widget comment a recommendation for iStat Menus (which has the widget I referred to). That's a menubar app.

I changed WikiTab to Menupedia (direct access to Wikipedia from the menubar), which I find much better.

I also adopted Rectangle (freeware and Open Source) to move windows on the screen.
