I'm in New York in March, and wanting to save some money (I live in the UK) I'm keen to pick up a Macbook from the store.

What do you guys reckon the odds will be of them having stock?

I'm semi-doubtfull myself, but it'd be great to save some money!

I'd say the odds are very good that there will be MBP's available in store by then. Apple shouldn't run into any chip supply issues with Intel.

I'm just hoping they don't sell too quickly!

I hope they DO sell quickly. The more (and earlier) MacBooks get into more people's hands... the faster Apple finds and zaps the bugs for the Rev B. versions.

Since it seems that the macbooks are starting to ship in mid feb, when do you think the earliest they will have a supply of them in the stores? My sister works there and I'm curious how soon I can capitalize on the employee discount.
