Just as long as I back up & make a clone of my harddrive onto another one, reinstall OS X, and make the XP CD, I should be able to reinstall OS X & uninstall XP right? XP won't f*ck up the firmware or make my 13 day old MacBook Pro blow up?

Good idear, I was just gonna do it for fun...but if I'm uneasy how is that fun...???


I decided I'm not gonna install 'till its easier...& just...safer.

There really isn't anyway something could go wrong to the point where your computer be physically damaged or settings to the point where the computer is unusable.

if you don't need XP now then wait.

There are many driver issues to be solved, software to be tested, the installation needs to be automatic.

why be the beta tester? there are enough other people testing XP.

i will wait for a XP that runs within OS X like Virtual PC. It's a lot more convenient to work and share files that way.

Yes but it killed Backonthemac's MBP.

No, I don't think the heat killed it. I had a platter failure on the hard drive. So, I cannot directly attribute that to the XOM files. or XP.

I just decided to stay with a PC until it is worked out. Once it is worked out, then I will be BACKTOTHEMAC
