I am just using contacts, and find my iPhone. Truthfully, if find my iPhone wasn't integrated into iCloud, I would probably delete my iCloud account. I just prefer syncing to iTunes...

I had one issue with iCloud...my contacts had like 2 - 3 different tabs for contacts, one for on my mac, one for icloud, and then just contacts...I disabled iCloud contacts, deleted it off my phone (which was a mistake cause I lost my contacts), re-synced to itunes, then re-enabled iCloud contacts, and one single tab...no issues since.

Just curious what you are backing up and your experience with it so far?

Well, I'm not backing up anything to iCloud, but I am syncing Contacts, bookmarks, and my Calendars to all of my iDevices and my Mac using it. I backup my iDevices wirelessly through iTunes.

I am using it to back up all, but only set to read from iCloud for each.
I do have a question though: Is there a way to save documents (such as word docs) to iCloud without purchasing Pages? If I purchase Pages, will I be able to save .doc files to iCloud under iWork? Clearly I am confused since it is not structured the same as my MobileMe account was.

I'm using iCloud backup for everything except my contacts, calendars and reminders (I use my .live for those). I love the fact that I can recover from something castrophic while out of town. But I will still do backups to my pc if I add movies. And because a restore from a pc backup is easier. But I travel a lot and if needed I can restore from iCloud and be back up and running pretty quickly.

As for exactly what documents are backed up I'm still pretty unclear as to that. So for the time being, unless the app is listed under iCloud I'm still using Dropbox for documents, just in case. I'm tempted to run an iCloud restore just to find out but I don't have time for a couple of weeks.

Just curious, what mail are you backing up? iCloud? If so isnt it already there if you login through iCloud on your computer?

Well yeah, it's just the fact I'm using it and it's in the cloud so it's technically backed up there and I assume it's counting against the storage space I'm using to that's why I say it like that. If it counts against my storage quota I'm going to count it as "backing up".

Of even greater satisfaction is having a proven two year old cloud strategy, so reliable, so easy and sensible, I have no need for the iCloud system Apple has chosen to run on HP hardware.

I use iCloud for just about everything it offers. Syncing of mail, contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc. Backup of almost all of my app data. Left out the apps where the data is either in another cloud or where lost data wouldn't bother me (i.e., most games).
