Just a quick open thread about what you're currently doing with the Vision Pro.

Me? I've tried Zoom to say I did. Facetime with a good mate every so often. Watch video if I remember I can watch it on the Vision Pro. That noted, Masters of the Air was spectacular viewing with the device.

Anyone else?

Has the porn industry landed on VP yet?

Isn’t that usually the barometer of video technology standards that win?

Several years ago.....that is why they really make these things!
i just wonder if screen time settings set to "strict" will block out the fun parts of such models?

i wonder what supreme leader Tim is AI'n (looking at) now.....or not.

I‘m less interested in content shot in the present day than i am in the ability of tech (whether ai +photogrammetry or otherwise) to extrapolate existing footage into 3d. When I can look around and be in the 8mm film from 1938 sailing with my great grandfather, or hover in the Pompeiian ampitheatre while Pink Floyd is playing Echoes in 1970, or stand on the veranda while Katherine Hepburn or Stacey Donovan eviscerates everyone with charm, then I’ll happily spend $3000 for the immersive tech to do so.

This is probably outside of what they are trying to do, but the ALVR app in TestFlight works with Vision Pro and allows you to play Steam VR games. Latency is decent, I can play Star Wars Squadrons and it is absolutely awesome I am gonna play No Man's Sky and a couple racing and other VR based flight sims. Games where you drive or fly or pilot something are where it's at. I imagine when true games start coming out it will be a decent gaming headset. Other than that I have done some spatial stuff like accomplishing tasks and being able to open a bunch of browser tabs, then stack a reminder window over the top and work through a task is helpful for folks who think outside the box and more spatially. Spatial photos and the ability to convert existing photos into spatial photos is also really neat. 3D movies are also awesome.
