...when your nMP order changes from "processing" to "preparing for dispatch"?

I think I'll just grab a beer. Then dance around naked in the garden. Or maybe not.

I will setup camp in the hall right behind the door. No way am I falling for the "We tried to call but you were not in" scam!

While you are out in the garden naked I'm going to trace your ip, break in and nick yours.

Hopefully in the uk yodel won't be delivering yours else you will never see it!

So glad I don't live in London any more!

I remember feeling the same when my iMac (first Mac) was on its way. If I had £1 for every time I checked that tracking number I could buy a Mac Pro.

LOL... that's what I did! Go for it! :D

Seriously though, when I got the email from Apple, I was actually at Disneyland... "The Happiest Place on Earth!". So I couldn't have been any happier!

Now, hopefully this doesn't start some sort of pilgrimage to Disneyland

I'll just be really happy, this is a dream computer for me. Small, silent and deadly.

Singing “I am getting Mac Pro” to the tune of “I am Evil Homer”.

LOL. I second that.

Also when I get it first thing I'm going to do is load a particularly pesky AE comp and see what render times are like.

Second thing I'm going to do is build the biggest rocket I can in KSP on max settings and see what kind of frame rates I get.

put my old mac up for sale.
:D
Actually I am trying to decide whether to sell my 15" MBP or my cMP.
I've got a company 13" MBP so I am covered there.
But then I feel like I would be hanging on the the classic Mac Pro just for sentimentality.
"remember when we had PCIe slots and firewire?"
That's 40lbs of sentimentality.
Actually I'll definitely order a pizza and some beverages when mine is delivered. I will be up all night uninstalling/deauthorizing on the old Mac and installing to the new one.
Then I will want to crush it as hard as I can for a couple days.
I always "bench" my new electronics so if there is anything that may fail it should fail in the first 30 days.
Probably script Adobe Bridge to batch process the same folder and then delete it over and over for 24 hours or so. While also running a looped logic session with a couple dozen tracks.

they are actually both pretty handy still. The cMp works great as a raid over the network

So happy to have moved back to the states -- so that I don't have to see naked Brits dancing in their gardens. ;)

I do that every evening. Is that not normal? :D

I'm going to hit refresh because I won't believe my eyes. Then I'm going to hit refresh again. Then I'll probably leave the room in a slight daze, get a beer out of the fridge and then turn on the laptop and see if the order status is the same on there. Then rinse and repeat until the damn thing turns up.

I've been expecting the order status page on apple.com to go down as we're probably all hitting refresh so often that they may think that they're under a DOS attack. :D

Well, at least my credit card record says so (I’m in Australia, where it seems Apple only updates the shipping info after it reaches the country).

I legit gasped when I saw the credit card balance had changed by the correct amount, LOL.

Thank you for all the replies to my original post on this.

My order finally changed from "processing" yesterday evening.

So how did I celebrate?

Unfortunately it was too cold and dark outside to dance naked in the garden at that time. However, had conditions been better, it might have looked something like this.
