I love "Find any File" "Etre Check" and "Affinity Photo", quite a few more but rebuilding the apps after a reset. "DxOptics Pro" pluggin for Photos is also excellent. I liked the DxO program as well but settled on Affinity Photo. "Raw Power" by Gentlemen Coders is also superb and works well with Photos but also in the mix for photos, Canon Professional (if you as Canon user). And "Cookie" for managing, well, cookies.

How does Affinity Photo compare to Pixelmator Pro (which I have)?

Bear for Notes, Spark for emails, AdGuard to block ads, Rectangle as window management tool for big screens, Brave or Edge browser as Chrome alternatives, Telegram instead of WhatsApp, 1Password to manage passwords, Bartender.

For work:
Sublime Text/Merge, iTerm2, VS Code

Couldn't say. I probably looked at it some years ago (along with many others) before I settled on Affinity and stopped using whatever version of Photoshop Essentials was around at that time. But why I dismissed it I cannot remember. Might be worth another look at it at some point but settled in with Affinity.

Usual stuff for me is RAW pics and just tweaking them, panorama's, and so on. I skim the surface on what it can do.

Though the Affinity app on the m1 iPad with a pen is a joy to use and I find it easier to get all layers etc. with the iPad.
