Hey everyone I thought i create this thread because it has been around 6/8 months since i last created this thread and most likely some of you have changed your uses on your tablet since then..

I have 2 tablets 1 Android tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and a 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700(I5 Core)

I say my top 3 uses on my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is:

Web surfing(Facebook, Twitter)
Watching videos(including Youtube)
And some light gaming(Thumb Car Racing, Temple Run 1, 2, Basketball Kings)

And my top 3 uses for my Acer Iconia W700 is:

Web surfing(Facebook, Twitter)
Watching videos(including Youtube)
And video editing, making Youtube videos

Just wondering what are your main uses on your tablet? And do you still use your tablet as much since you 1st bought your tablet?

I still use my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and my Acer Iconia W700 just as much(every day) since i 1st bought them and by the way they are great tablets. :)

If I had a working tablet (my galaxy tab 2 is too crap for me to use on a daily basis) I'd use it for Web browsing and games and media. Already have my eye on the hudl 2.

iPad Air - Consumption Device

Mainly for work but also for personal web use.

I drive presentations from mine
Email
Web Surfing
Videos

Pretty much anything that's content consumption related. I can see us eventually moving to a more Surface Like tablet as our storage is moving to cloud based systems and it would also give us the ability to carry one tablet/PC vs both.

IMO that's what is and likely will continue to hurt the tablet market as we know it. Even my wife who was looking for and thought she wanted an iPad/Similar went with a Tablet PC and sacrificed just a little bit in size for a fully functioning PC that is also a tablet.

My iPad is mainly an entertainment device. My 6 year old son uses it more than i do for Skylander games. :)
Since I got my Note 4 i find i use my iPad less and less......

I am waiting for the Surface platform to evolve and mature a little. Then I will be getting one. But i need at least a 13 inch screen. :)

I have a Samsung galaxy tab pro 10.1, an ipad mini retina and a nexus 7 2013. I use them all pretty much for the same things:

Web browsing
checking emails
watching videos
Games
Shopping
Online banking
Reading the news
Listening to music
Reading comics.

I use the tab pro more for watching videos and reading comics as it's a much more comfortable and enjoyable due to the size of the screen.

I use mine very lightly tbh. Flipboard, reading books, the occasional anime video through netflix.

My mom uses hers daily for email, banking, surfing etc. It is like a computer replacement for her.

My fiancee uses his ipad for some apps when we are gaming (Pathfinder etc) as well as surfing, reading and the occasional email.

Nexus 7 2012 and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

I bought the Nexus 7 2012 when it came out and still like it. It has slowed down over time so now I use it for social media, magazines, and chromecasting my music from Google Play Music.

I won the Galaxy Tab 3 and really like the big screen size. Use it for web browsing, chromecasting, occasional games, and watching movies when travelling.

I use a work Surface RT whenever I need Office 2013 on the go.

I use it for web surfing as long as it doesn't involve too much typing. I used to type more when I was using the Eee Pad Transformer with a keyboard dock. I'm using an iPad Mini now and the typing experience isn't as good as using a physical keyboard. I also use it to watch videos.

The main reason I got an iPad mini was I had some technical books in pdf format I wanted to read. Reading them on a laptop didn't feel natural. I tried printing the out and putting them in three ring binders, but that was a pain. Now most of my library travels with me in my suit jacket pocket wherever I go.

I also use the device for gps (it's much nicer than a phone because of the size of the maps) and for email, taking notes, and web surfing on the go. But my primary usage is for reading.

iPad Air 2 - my use case includes:

-Social Media
-Photography (taking and editing pictures)
-Web surfing
-Managing finances
-Communication (iMessage/FaceTime)
-Gaming
-Document creation and editing
-Speadsheet creation and editing
-Presentation creation and editing
-Reading (personal and school)
-Watching movies, TV Shows, sports
-Listening to music
-Email
-Managing my home network
-Occasionally logging into my home desktop while out of the house to manage my media library

I'm sure there are other, more specific tasks that I'm forgetting. But these are the general things I do regularly on my iPad.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Well, still the same really? Although it's also now made me more sociable because you can be in the same room as the rest of the family and do everything you would sat at a desk in the room with the computer on a tablet.

So You Tube, email, internet surfing, film streaming, photo and video viewing and when I get my new Sony tablet I'll use it to play my PS4 sometimes too :) as well as games on tablets like Real Racing 3 and Modern Combat.

Oh currently got an iPad Mini Retina which I will be changing to a Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact at Christmas, will give the Mini to my mum and see how she gets on with it.

i have note 10.1 and main uses are work and fun. it is so much easier to write formulae (chemistry/math/physics) with a pen than using a mouse. of course i could always use e.g. latex and chemsketch, but i write those things just in seconds with a pen... because note tablet has a multiwindow feature, i can easily use three windows to write a code and testing it.. one for searching help from net, one for the app called droidedit to write the code and the last one for testing the code. and fun of course, anything from surfing to watching movies..
