Hi Guys,

Just wondering what sort of battery life you are getting on your iPad so we can all compare.

Please state:

iPad model:
Percentage drain per hour on standby:
Percentage drain per hour with use (and type of use e.g. streaming video, browsing, mix etc)
iOS version:

Thanks!

10.5 pro
0% drain per hour on standby. will maintain current percentage for a long time when not being used although will eventually drop
8-12% drain per hour with use depending on what I'm doing and screen brightness. Typical streaming at less than 50% brightness is less than 10%/hour drain. Mixed use is a bit more. I could get anywhere from 8-12 hours from a charge.
IOS 12.3.1

12.9” iPad Pro 3rd generation
0% drain per hour on standby
5% per hour mixed usage

I have a 3rd generation 12.9. Brightness makes a huge difference. I was getting <10 hours until I turned down the brightness a tad, and now >12 hours per full charge

I’ve had my 12.9 since day of release in 2015. I use it for hours daily, on a mix of charging and not. Currently at 92% capacity. Pretty impressed.

I also have an iPad 2–since launch—that is always plugged in, and at 90%.

I have both 11 and 12.9 iPads and read News+ content, do emails, web surf, and watch the occasional YT video. Have checked several times on each and generally works out to about 10% per hour.
