Hello all,

I am going to install an SSD into my iMac Mid 2011.

I've seen a guide which shows it being installed under the optical drive, using additional cables.

The red one is a SATA data cable. The black one is a SATA power cable. Not sure where that one connects to though. On PCs, SATA power comes straight from the power supply. It looks like it's built to connect to a jumper somewhere on the motherboard.
