Any DVD brainboxes out there...?

What can idvd be used to do? Say I download some tv shows or something, can I make them into a regular dvd, or does it depend on the file type...?

It needs to be a QuickTime compatible file. You can then export to iMovie, and then export to iDVD. Or just export it into iDVD if you don't want to edit it.

You probably need the Divx software (free download, google it, I'm too lazy to link). That at least lets avi files play in QT. I'm not 100% sure if that makes iDVD support them, but I think so? And Toast would burn your AVIs to DVDs with no conversion necessary (again you probably need Divx to decode).

but then I'm a video retard so I shouldn't be answering.

OK. i now have the divx thing licked.

Problem is, IDVD won't let me drop the avi files onto it. Says they're not compatible, and in my regular version of Quicktime, I can't find any way of saving them out as anything else, or exporting...

Also, in IDVD, how do I get rid of the lame 'themed' frames...?
