What can motion 5 be used for?

Hi everybody.
As crazy as it sounds, I make animation in fcp x. Since a lot are making animation in after effects, I thought about the possibility of also making animation in motion, because I hate Adobe and motion and after effects kinda resembles.
It seems as if motion are only used for text graphics and transition, so my question is, what can you create in motion. Have anyone heard of anybody creating animation with motion?

Motion is not quite the same product as After Effects, but you can absolutely use Motion for animation work. Overall, After Effects is a more flexible program than Motion but for animation work specifically I don't think that difference will be that major and Motion will suit the work very similarly to AE.

Thanks for the reply. I just bought motion recently and haven’t really started using the software. Unfortunately there’s not many videos about motion online and seems to have a small user base? I just miss videos about motion having to do about something else than creating tiles for fcp x.

It's just one example of many many possibilities - But more importantly it shows that Ripple Training has resources like this available, a good portion of them free on their YouTube with MacBreakStudio.

There are generally not as many learning resources for Motion as there is for things like After Effects, but there are some good resources out there still. Plus the Help menu with the official documentation has some good explanations for everything if you stumble across anything inside the app that you have questions about
