I still use it for occasional browsing with Safari, looking up on IMDb when I’m watching movie, watching short YouTube video, finger sketching on Paper app and live view remote control for my Sony Alpha camera.

The tablet is still adequate for above tasks.
As long as you have the patience 🙃

Honestly, try and sell it on Ebay. That is what I am going to do when I upgrade my daughters iPad's this year. Better to get some money for it and cut loose?

Digital photo frame, home entertainment controller?!
FYI: If you're using the 'Remote' app on your iPad 3 to control iTunes on a Mac, if the Mac has upgraded to Catalina, then the 'Remote' app on the iPad 3 will no longer work. This is too bad since I have an old iPad on a stand in each room with the remote app open. That way, I can see the album covers of the songs playing on my airplay whole house audio system, as well as control playback etc. I had to retire two iPad 3s and buy new ones. It feels like not supporting the Remote app on the iPad 3, was a calculated move by Apple to male it mor obsolete.

I have a 3, still looks and works great, (honestly work better than my 4.
I load movies, tv shows, and music on it and even the speakers are okay. I use it for Safari, photos, notes, YouTube, Movies, Music, TV Shows, Vudu, Netflix, and still millions of apps. I got a 64GB iPad 3 for $30. The iPad has no bright spots, no dead pixels, no brightness issues, display issues, battery issues, (not as good as anything newer, but it still goes better than a windows laptop) the iPad has only some small light bleed (just a little bit on one side of the iPad.) I also use it for letting nieces and nephews play informative games on or watch dog patrol or whatever it’s called. lol. One of the best deals ever. 👍✌️
