I'm super disappointed of what happened today at Apple Event. No mention at all of any mac. I know this was supposed to be an iPhone only event, but there is something that worries me: Most of the macs (if not all) need an update. I don't see a "minor" event like October's getting that many announcements.

Why is Apple taking this way of action? I mean, did you see at the attendants of the Apple Event, they were all using their macbooks to take notes. No iPad Pro, Air or anything. Doesn't Apple realises how important are computers still today?

So, what can we expect in October. New iMacs? New Macbooks Pro? New Mac Pros? New mac minis? New macbooks air? The list is enormous!!!

Is there even gonna be an October Event?

If there isn't an October event, it will be because Apple will seed / has seeded new hardware to media under NDA and there will be a mass of reviews when the NDA is lifted and the product is available for retail sale.

As for what that product is, we know new MacBook Pros are coming and the iMac will very likely be updated (new ports for both, a new CPU for the 21" and probably a new GPU for the 27"), as well. I also expect the Macbook Air to get a CPU bump, but retain the form factor and non-retina display. I hope we see a new Mac Pro, as well.

Oh, I had never heard about the first scenario. Has Apple ever done that? (I don't really know; I had always been the kind of guy who didn't check rumors or anything).

Yeah, I've heard a lot of rumors about the MacBook Pro; that's an almost sure bet. I'm really crossing my fingers for a new iMac to come out (because I'm waiting to buy it and it feels like an eternity, hahaha).

I had heard that Apple would kill the MacBook Air and replace it with the MacBook. Who knows.

They have, but usually only for a single model. So if we're just seeing a new MacBook Pro, this might be the case. If we're seeing new MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs, iMacs and Mac Pros then we're likely going to have an October event.

This is the eventual plan, I imagine, but only when Apple can price the MacBook below $999 with the profit margins they want. Until then, that is the role the MacBook Air will fill.

I think we'll get new MacBook pro's, and an announcement for iMacs in a month or two and Mac pro's for next year, airs just left to languish like the pre retina MBP.
