Hi all! May sound like a stupid question, but I’m so limited in my views. What can you actually use the iPad Pro iMovie for ? Is that a limited small thing, or a powerful tool? What can you use it for ..?

Well, you’d need a huge amount of storage (enough to handle all the “huge files” plus room for editing and exporting the result).

As far as the exact mechanics of HOW to get the files on the iPad, a bit of googling should get you sorted there. But space requirements can be pretty easily calculated based on the size of those files.
