Let me know what you think of them when they arrive!

I got one of these off of amazon for like $8. I can look up the exact one if you want. Got the frosted grey color. Perfect fit. Only complaint is you can't really see the apple logo unless you're in good light but thats not a huge deal. Believe shipping only took 2-3 days

Isn't it a bit bulky? I've had Otterbox's in the past but hate the screen protector part. It kind of rests above the screen like there's a tiny gap.

I have the Defender Real Tree for work reasons. I take the Otterbox protector off and use a tempered glass. Works great.

I got one of those TOZO cases but the cut outs for buttons etc were not exactly centred. Didn't affect functionality though, but concerned about dust and lint getting trapped inside.

mines seems to line up perfect, maybe contact them and they'll send you a replacement

I'm having a hard time finding a case for my 7 Plus. I'm currently using this LK case:

It's ok but I'm looking for something better. The rubber on this one is a dust/lint magnet!
My biggest concern is grip. I wish there was a case with a finger groove on the back as my hand is too small to grab the whole phone and allow my thumb to move about freely. I used the Otterbox Commuter on my 6 Plus and I used the Apple logo cutout and a grip point for my index finger. That helped but holding the phone is still precarious due to the rest of the back being so slick. I'm looking at the UAG cases, seems like those ridges on the back might provide some grip.

Started looking at the UAG cases and really like the Monarch and Plasma. Then I saw the Trooper and with the ability to carry 4 cards, I could probably just leave my wallet at home. Can't find any dimensions on it though. I know it will be thick but does anyone know how it compares to something like the Otterbox Defender in thickness?

Not sure how it compares to the Defender in thickness, but I just reviewed it:

I measured mine for the 6s+ and the Otterbox defender is 15mm thick while the UAG trooper comes in at 17mm. In terms of grip, for me at least, the transparent UAG cases offer more grip. The matte finish on the solid color UAG cases seem slick to me. The one case that I've always found to offer the most grip for me is the Speck grip cases. You may want to have a look at them.

Awesome, thank you so much! This gives me much to ponder.
Edit: I just measured the case I'm currently using and it looks to be about 15 or 16mm so the Trooper wouldn't be much bigger. Now my issue goes back to grip!

Picked up the Tech21 Mesh case and the Speck Presidio. Wouldn't touch the Tech21 one with a 30 foot pole after using it for a few days - it's massive, makes the buttons near impossible to press, has huge cutouts on the bottom that allow for scratches and debris, doesn't quite fit the phone well, and looks like trash after light usage scuffed up the polished finish.

On the other hand, huge fan of the Speck case - feels quality, lightweight, slim, super easy access to buttons. I can see how some people might think it feels "cheaper" compared to the Candyshell, but I think that's just due to the change in exterior texture - the case is still quality in all ways.

can you comment on the thickness of the Tech21 vs the Speck Presidio?

i too picked up the Tech21 because essentially that was available. i think it's bulky, but haven't had the same issue of scuffs yet with mine. i also am not a fan of the buttons. the only thing i can say about it is it does seem like it would protect them phone well if dropped and the material has a nice grippy feel.

I have a few cases....

Tech21 Evo Mesh - Black
Caseology Titan Series - Matte Black
Speck Presidio Grip - Blue/Black
Apple Leather - Red

so which is your favorite? can you comment on whether the Presidio Grip or Tech21 are the same thickness or is one thicker than the other? perhaps a photo of the next to each other lying on a table? thanks!

Black Caudabe on IP7 Matte Black. Have 3D curved protector. Perfect fit for both.

Had the leather sea blue apple case but wanted something that was more waterproof. Just got the Speck Presidio Inked and so far like it a lot. Tight fit and all the holes line up. Seems like it will offer good protection without being too beefy.

I prefer the feel of the silicone apple case over the leather. But I think the leather might look better by a tiny bit lol. I don't even like other brands silicone as they are squishy, but apple has theirs nailed down in must say.

I also swear the silicone case for my 7+ feels a lot lets tacky compared to my 6s+ one I hand. Goes in and out of my pockets without problem. And adds JUST enough grip. Feels awesome in hand. Silicone is better in my case since I'm in the gym a lot and the silicone case will work better around water.

I was between the midnight blue or the white for some contrast. Close call.
