What determines "Home" on iphone Geotags ?

Hey Guys, I just did a restore from Icloud back up on my 11 Pro Max. I noticed when I take a photo in my home , it used to be Geotagged with "HOME" on the top where the location is. Now doesn't say HOME but the City and state where it was taken. I updated my home address on my contact card and restarted the phone and still the photos do not say HOME anymore. Even all the old photos that used to say home they are showing with City and state now as well as any new photos taken in our home. My wife's 11 shows home when a photo was taken in the home. I'm sure its a setting somewhere .. I just don't know where HOME would hide when it geotags. Home does show up on Maps with a home icon. Is there a precise location setting for the camera that I'm missing? Thank you for any replies.

Couple of thoughts:
Does Home show correctly in Maps?
In the Maps app settings under Location, is Precise Location enabled?
Under Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Photos, is it set to While Using the App?

And just be super sure, in your Contacts, the label on your home address is "home"? And your card is designated as My Card at the top of Contacts?

Another idea is to check your location in “Find My”. You can assigned a label such as Home, Work, or custom label.

If you changed devices recently, which I think was OP’s situation, then you should be golden with this change. Give it a try and let us know.

Good Morning Guys, THANK YOU for your replies!!! I fixed it.. I called apple last night ( my wife did ) LOL .. Cause this was driving me nuts. She asked for a senior advisor and he was very helpful . I explained I did a restore from an Icloud back up and he asked her to RESET ALL settings, That's a nightmare in itself. Then she told him she didn't want to do that. This guy was good and funny, his response to my wife was, oh you don't want a root canal when you needed a small filling? LOL.. So he told her to reset location and privacy settings, I gave the green light to do it and once she went to the camera app, it asked her to use her location while using the app and that was the fix. Now any photos taken in our home are labeled HOME , the only hickup is that any of the other photos didn't get tagged HOME just the city and state. I know for a fact when you do a complete restore mostly from a Icloud back up it sometimes are a little buggy. This issue was one of the bugs. My next step was to do a restore from my laptop. He also taught me something I didn't know. If you do a full erase from the phone itself, it still uses the IOS that's on the phone, So if there is an issue with that IOS you will still get the issue, if you restore from a computer it will download a new fresh IOS onto the phone ( and update it as well ) ..
