Hi All,

I don't currently have a device for testing on and I'm thinking about getting an iPod touch for that purpose. I don't need another cell phone or a two year contract.

Do you develop on an iPod touch? Is 8G good enough or should I get a 16G device? The app I'm working on doesn't require the phone or gps or anything that I think might only be on the phone.

Comments?

Thanks,

An 8Gb Touch will probably be fine. Unless you are developing massive apps you will probably only need a few Mbs on the device per app.

The main thing to watch out for is timeouts on network activity. Make sure you test this (easiest way to simulate it is via a timer). I had a crash in my app which was specifically caused by a very long timeout in a download, and I only found this out by "testing" on EDGE.
