I know you paid either 499 or 599 for the iPhones, but with activation fee and tax, what does that come to? Do you pay activation fee on your first bill? Any answers would be helpful.

you pay the activation on the first bill.

i also got the grip case with my phone. the "jam jacket"

Taxes depend on the state and city you buy it in. So unless someone else was in your same city, it would not be the exact amount.

Short of that add 10% on and if you have that much more, you should be fine.

Ok thanks you guys. So the activation would be on your first bill which is good for me. I'm getting the $599 iPhone and plus tax would be around 50 dollars roughly. I already have $450 and I have $200 to spare from my next paycheck on Friday so I think I'll be good to buy one. If not, I'll just put in a little bit more money from my paycheck. My total came to $1,410.05, including (2) 8GB iPhones, three cases (couldn't decide between two), and a screen guard. My wallet isn't feeling very well this evening.

Do they have a leather case one for the iPhone? If so, I would assume that they're about $30 or so. I also heard that Apple stores are expecting another shipment tomorrow? True or not, they still have plenty regardless. More than most AT&T stores. Hopefully they don't sell out before Friday afternoon.

Don't buy the cases there, I'd wait if I were you.

Total was about $676 (sales tax and activation).
