What do all the iTunes Match icons mean?

Okay, I must have missed this, but what do all the different cloud icons in your song list mean?

1. I have some songs with no cloud icon at all

2. Some with a "ghosted" cloud icon

3. Some with a cloud icon with an "x" in the middle of it

4. Some with a cloud icon that looks like it's split-in-two.
