- Does anyone know what the Apple employees think about what's going on?
- Are they aware of how messed up and abandoned the product line has become under Tim Cook?
- Are they aware of how the Apple Stores are emptying?
- Do they read the customer comments on sites like this?
- Do they think Ive is out of control?
- What do they think of Tim Cook using his day job to promote his personal politics?

I'm interested to know what opinions are on the inside...

You should go ask them. All of them.

Since you posted a very biased and negative opinion of Apple, I'm not sure anyone would be willing to post, or you'd be willing to hear anything positive about apple.

I guess if you're not happy with Apple, there are plenty of other competitors to choose from.

I expected Apple employees not to reply but there's nothing stopping gossip spreading around.

Go back and reread that. What does wondering what Apple employees think of the various complaints you state as though they are incontravertable fact have to do with "gossip spreading around"? What does that even mean? For that matter what does your original post mean? Are you looking for idle gossip or "what the Apple employees think about what's going on"? Gossip is everywhere and everything. As for Apple employees, there are a lot of them and I seriously doubt they all think the same thing.

The ex-Apple employees that I know are pretty tight-lipped about why they left, other than vague "too much pressure" complaints. If they're still at Apple, they're tight-lipped to the point of paranoia.

I wouldn't doubt it. I, personally, am full of misgivings about Apple, and whether I even want to continue as a Mac user. I was, for a time, a True Believer. Now? Not so much. I'm too old to be of any importance of the New Apple, I realize that. To me, a computer is still a computer; it's not a phone, it's not a tablet, and it most emphatically is not a watch. It's a computer. So, yeah, I'm a dinasour, I get that. And I was not trying to disparage the OP, BTW. I just felt his original post was so nebulous and unfoucsed as to be kind of silly.

I figure the only way to know that would be knowing someone on the inside or others have had their foot in the door at Apple at one time or another.

I dunno about reading Macrumors, but i do believe Apple wouldn't read any forums (let alone reply to any).. as it's all community driven, even Apple's discussions..

I have not seen a single Apple employee reply on their since i've been posting, but i do know other forums some employees contribute, or at least their representatives do.

As a former employee I can tell you they read all these sites. I forget the name of the group...but they have people activly registered and lurking around. They were doing it in 2001-2004 so they are likley doing it even more now. There was some sort of incident back then where someone posted something dumb and they knew about it very fast and got rid of them. I wish I could remember all the details, but it was something very dumb. I'm still scared with the memories of opening and in boxing customer machines and watching the cockroachs run out though. That I remember clearly. LOL.

A lot of the guys I still know are concerned and a bit irritated, but these are guys that have lived and breathed the Mac for years. Apple has done a good job of shuffling out old talent and brining in the brainwashed watch band crowd. It's the older guys that seem to be unhappy with the current direction. Most everyone I know on the inside sees Cook for what he is and misses happier times.

Good question I have been wondering myself too many times. Especially now when Apple is trailing behind competitors in every category they're in. I'm also wondering if their employees know what direction Apple is going. I don't. They've been neglecting computer hardware for years and lost their trust of being a compelling computer company.

Even their advertising is out of focus. Compare it to the 'get a mac' campaign or iPod advertisement. Today they show no path... most of their 15 second ads are clueless imo.

The last keynote was depressing. They're trying to pull jokes in every sentence but lacking the fun of real jokes. By making such a 'fun' keynote they aren't taking themselves seriously anymore.

All of this mentioned above and the lack of news is making it a dull company.

e.g. like most of the people watching this presentation, I don't watch basketball and don't give a damn about your stupid "Warriors" - Eddy Cue, fire yourself.
