Ok, so I’m trying to get the most out of my wireless charging. I have an iPhone X and I’m looking to purchase everything I need to charge my phone wireless both st home at work. I know Apple devices charge wirelessly at a maximum of 7.5w but what I’m reading about what exactly I need to enable this is confusing and people saying so many different things. I figured I’d come here and see if I can get some straight answers so I can order everything.

I read that it all starts with the adapter coming out of the wall. What is the wattage I need to get the full 7.5w out of my wireless charger? Can I use the Apple 12w iPad chargers that I already have plenty of or do I need an adapter with the qc2.0/qc3.0 support? Also, what is this IQ standard I read about on some of them?

Now as far as the actual charging pad goes, do they make specific 7.5w chargers I need to buy or does any charger that supports fast charge at 10w work for 7.5w wireless charging for Apple? I purchased this one:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074QK9XKL/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It seems to support fast charging, but obviously I’ll need the adapter for it and the micro usb cable.

The adapter I’m looking at right now is this one:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077HFFLMS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ&psc=1

I thank you in advance if you could clear all this up for me and let me know what I need. There’s a lot of conflicting information out there and as soon as I start believing one thing I read another convincing post.

You need a Qi charger that supports 7.5w. Supporting 10w is fine but it has to ALSO support 7.5w. 10w is a specification the iPhone does not support so it will default to 5w. The title of the charger you bought even specifically says ...

"RAVPower Qi Wireless Charging Stand, 2 Coils Fast Wireless Charger Quick Charging Base 10W for Samsung S8 Plus S7 Edge, 5W for iPhone X 8 Plus and More"

If you buy a charger that supports 7.5w wireless charging that doesn't come with a wall adapter you'll typically need a QC 2.0/3.0 adapter due to the charger using a higher voltage then the iPhone and iPad wall adapters output.

If you scroll down the page you can see a list of Ravpower chargers and it has specs.
