What do I need to protect my new iMac

Great computer! Loving it. But, oh boy, the power cord is short. I use a Furman PM-Pro Series ii 20 amp power conditioner ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/acce...ditioner-with-digital-volt-and-current-meters) for my gear, but now my iMac won't reach it.

Is there a certain spec of extension cord I need?

Will a Tripp-Lite surge protector suffice? ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000511U7/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_25?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER )

Do you use a UPS?

If you just need a longer power cord - then here's a choice... Anywhere from 1 foot to 25 feet in length.

If you like the stable power of a UPS, particularly if your local power is not the most reliable, then a UPS is certainly a good choice...
