No we haven't third party notifications.

Now WhatsApp can build this own QuickReply, eBay can build a "Bid now" notification....

thats what i hope it means cuz that is what i was hoping for since iOS 8 got released and didnt have it!

Currently, if you try and respond within a notification for 3rd party apps, it launches the app. What this means is, just like with iMessage, you can respond to a notification from within the notification itself (banner drop down, notification center) without ever having to open the app sending the notification.

Nice, but what I was really hoping to see was notification syncing across devices. I'm so sick of clearing away 3 day old missed FaceTime calls and Facebook notifications on my Mac
