I have lots of mp3s that I sync between my MBP and iPhone all the time. However, anything I purchase through iTunes does not sync over to my iPhone. I get a message after trying stating that I don't have authorization to do that.

"Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "name of a song", were not copied to the iPhone "iPhone" because you are not authorized to play them on this computer."

Does this have something to do with the fact that I just had a new logic board installed? If so, what do I do to fix the issue?

Thanks in advance...

Edit: Okay. I got one part fixed. It appears I had to resync with .mac and now that's fine. But it's saying I've got 2 out of 5 computer sync'd. In other words, .mac seems to think I have another computer sync'd with my account. Is THAT because of the old logic board? Or is the second computer my iPhone?

I have the exact same problem. I sync my iPhone to my MBP all the time and have never had this problem until now. It's only selected songs I buy from iTunes that won't sync. How do I fix this problem? I'm not sure how logging onto .mac would fix it. I logged on but didn't make a difference.

Note: I don't have a new logic board. Nothing has changed on my MBP.

Yeah it's linked to the old logic board. I wouldn't worry about it; when you reach 5, just deauthorize all and then reauthorize the computers you actually have. Just don't forget to deauthorize next time you send your computer in.
