So I'm moving over from Sprint for the iPhone, and I wonder what's another good phone for the wife. No smartphone for her, just a good regular one.

One that AT&T has? That's a tough choice. They dont really have the best selection of phones. At least none that I've ever liked besides "smartphones" From what they have now listed on their website, I'd recommend the SYNC by Samsung, it's a nice little flip phone with a decent looking menu and of course the KRAZR and updated 3G RAZR V3XXs aren't that bad. (If Motorola is your thing). The rest of the phones I can't recommend.

Thanks for that Samsung Sync suggestion. I would've not have found that one, and it seems good for the second line.

i had a SYNC, and it woulnd't hold a charge for more than a day, and it got horrible reception, i say go KRZR, im not a moto fan but it works as a phone

I have the the w810i as well. The phone rocks. So much so, its making me rethink getting an iphone. Holds its charge for hours, nice gui, good camera, really a solid choice.

Second "Smart" phone needed

I also will now need a second AT&T phone (for my wife who does not want an iPhone). She would like a "palm" type phone. We will be switching from Sprint (no contact) to AT&T.

I was thinking about a Treo (exactly what I am getting rid of!)

Krzr..go online, find it for free, and take it into a AT&T store...they'll match the price, you'll need to do the rebate thing, but at the end of the day, its free!
