Hello from Greece, i am a new member here and i would like to help me with something please... I want to buy a new Mac Book Pro mid2014 with the back to school program but i have read that new MBP will come on October... Broadwell as i read no chance for 2014, but new trackpad, new design, fanless is some points that we may see from the new MBP... What is your opinion?? May i buy one now to i5 2.6, 8GB, 256GB or just wait for a big change?? Are we going to see big changes in 2014 or we have to wait for the 2015...? Thanks for your help!

You Have posted in the desktop section which is possibly why you have little feedback.
Nevermind onto your question, the Macbook pro retina was only refreshed a few weeks ago and current thinking is no new pro laptops until mid 2015.
The Machine you are talking about is the much rumoured but unknown quantity known as the retina macbook air.
This is rumoured to have all sorts of differences,
12 inch screen (retina ppi and possible igzo for low battery use)
fanless
Ultra low voltage broadwell dual core chip
very thin very light silent and cool, think ipad air witha keyboard.
However at the moment we have no idea when or even if we will get this machine. Maybe before christmas maybe never.
The current Macbook pro lineup are all superb machines and the haswell chips fly, the screen is great and even the graphics are better than expected. Buy one with no thought of regret.

The new machine, described by the post before will be a new class of machine that does not exist yet in Apple's portfolio. I think it will be something like the Surface 3 from Windows, maybe a combo between iPad and Macbook Air with some new features unique to it new "class", like no fans.
To be sure, I would wait till past September 9th or better past the October event when Yosemitie will drop down on us. I am sure you will know exactly what you want to have in October.
If you buy sooner, you will be very angry, so wait those view weeks. We almost made it!

Thank you guys for the help...! As I understood no new MBP for the 2014, so I have just bought the mid 2014 model with i5 2.6, 8gb RAM and 256 flash storage... Time will show if I did a nice buy!!
