Admittedly this is very far out to be speculating, but most of the rumors I've read online say that Apple will stick with this three phone lineup that we had this year for 2019 as well.


Presumably the 'premium' phones will be called the 11 and 11 Max.


So what do you think will be upgraded/different about the "R" phone next year from the XR this year?

If iPhone 11 gets haptic buttons like Watch 4, I would expect 11R to keep physical buttons.

- Stainless steel, OLED screen, dual camera, full Siri version, $4999

- Same as previous one, but the only one in platina color. Status symbol deluxe. $9999

All Apple stores will have 4 levels from now on and depending on the item you want to buy you go to the appropriate level. Service and experience are of course depending on the level.

If you are poor you can enroll to Apple rewards program and collect points to be allowed to buy your cheap products on the upper levels.

Oh.. Almost forgot. They will also stop selling XS, XR, 8, 7 so they don’t canibalize the sales of 11. If you want an older cheaper phone they will start selling 3GS again.

I honestly think will be seeing a smaller XR between the size of the SE and 6/7/8 models.​

Let’s see, more colors or different shades of colors, faster processors, faster everything. Better Face ID system, better camera. Cheaper than the xs. Lcd still. I think a similar design.

I would suspect more camera upgrades for the ‘11R’, remember, Apple wants to keep this semi affordable under the XS, where it does not conflict with the price points. Therefore, I think the upgrade would be minimal, but still significant enough to warrant those who might be interested in upgrading next year as well.

I hope they won’t release anything in 2019, people are too picky these days. This is not good in iPhone, that is not good in iPhone. Admittedly price is high & there are some design flaws like notch etc which I am sure would get perfected overtime. I hope apple gives people some breathing space that way people’s desire to get new iPhones increases. No company forces anyone to buy their product but Apple is the company whose most products people wants. So if it’s Apple releases iPhone 11 with little design improvement and same price then people would buy again and complain again.
