What does "Error" mean on iTunes Match status?

73 of my songs say "error" under icloud status..they all seem to be 128 kbps and are mp3s.

I have 656 songs in "Error" status (so far, out of 6792). They are all 192 Kbps AAC files.

I have about 950 errors out of about 7000 songs. I have just under 9000 in my library so I may have more before it is all finished.

So far, I also have 370 in a 'Not Eligible' status. These are all my hi-res files from HDTracks.com. I am guessing that I will need to create an AAC version, let iCloud sync it, then delete from my home library. I would still like access to them on a mobile device.

Expect a lot of issues with iTunes Match for quite awhile. I think the fact that Apple delayed the launch helped a tiny amount, but honestly it might better to think of it like a beta for awhile.

I have song from HD Tracks as well, mostly 192khz 24bit files. I read somewhere that iTunes Match will convert the lossless ones into 256k AAC and upload that if it does not find a match in their servers.

My iTunes is currently still uploading to its iTunes Match servers. When it's done, I'll check if those high resolution files are marked as error as well.

Error means it had an issue uploading. We are going to see this quite a bit for the next few days as everyone rushes to hammer Apples servers. I just clicked each song and selected add to iCloud one by one, got it down to 11 tracks that refuse to upload or match.

After a second pass at updating iTunes Match (Store > Update iTunes Match), all of my "Error" songs updated properly. I now have ZERO errors.
