At least on my spreadsheets, it appears when you're in a table in another sheet to show you where the data is coming from. E.g. I have a couple of pivot tables in separate sheets: when I click in one of them, the green dot appears on the sheet where the base table is stored. If I click outside the pivot table, the green dot disappears.

Could that be the same for you?

ah...exactly then. This dot is only showing on a sheet that is being used a source of data for a pivot table. I just tested it you are 100% correct!

thanks!
