I think it is driving add revenue for the cydia creator. Kind of like clicking an affiliate link on a website.

To clarify, I don't believe these were instituted by Saurik. Those are ads on the repository that are App Store redirects. I believe Saurik has implemented this pop up window in order to block App Store redirects from automatically occurring from inside cydia repos.

Exactly.
Before you would browse on cydia and then suddenly the AppStore would open up bringing you to different kinds of apps right into
The download section.

So continuing to not allow it will produce the result we prefer, which is not to get redirected?
Also, does anyone know this for sure or knows how to find out for sure this is what that popup is?
Only cuz it looks like the pic in here is also on the most recent Facebook app I installed which I suspected may have been the culprit, but may not be since they clearly got the popup BEFORE they installed it.
Thanks

It just takes you to the App Store. I tried it a few times now I just hit cancel. Nothing to worry about I don't think.

It's a feature, not an issue!

Saurik recently put this into CydiaInstaller. As has been mentioned, it prevents the redirction to the Apple store.

A few tweak devs also have apps or support apps in the App store. Go to review their tweak and they push you to the App store. It's annoying, so Saurik put this in to stop it.

Look up CydiaInstaller and read the update notes.

Agreed, did not mean to insinuate that it was Saurik, just that it was a way for someone to drive revenue.
