So My wrist measures 8 1/16 inches (where I wear my watch). Really, the only watch band that works for me is the regular silicone sport band. On that band I’m on the second to the last hole neat the end if I want the band tighter and on the last hole if I want it a bit looser.
The sport loop is a no-go in that all of the sport loop bands (except the charcoal color) fit wrist sizes 145mm to 220mm for the 44mm watch. The Charcoal band is the only band that comes in an XL size (fits wrists sizes 170-245). You might ask: If you wrist is 8 2/16 inches why doesn‘t the regular size sport loop fit (ie since 8 2/16 inches is only 206.2mm). Well, when I put the regular band on, it closes with the “end” of the band, which should be at the bottom side of the wrist when closed, sitting at the 9pm position on my wrist. Not a cool look! It looks like you’re wearing your little brothers watch band. Why does apple think that guy‘s with large wrists only prefer charcoal colored bands😊
The solo loops are interesting. So, if I use the sizing guide on Apples website, a wrist size of 8 2/16 points to a size 12. However, if you put in a measurement of 8 3/16 instead, you get a message (This band does not fit you). So, I’m at the absolute end of the spectrum with the solo loop bands. Just bought an AW series 6 with a size 12 solo loop and while it “works”…it leaves an impression of the sensors in my wrist when I take it off at the end of the day and clear band marks cutting into my arm. Come on Apple, this is a device marketed to athletes also. I’m only 6’0 200 lbs (very average size and slightly larger wrists than normal). What’s an NFL lineman gonna do if he wants to wear an apple watch? Oh yeah, Apples got him covered (XL size charcoal sports loop
All I’m asking is for Apple not to discriminate against guys with large wrists😊. Is that too much to ask?
