Yea this is allllll very new to me (.mac and MM) as I really only switched to Apple last summer and got the iphone. Recently, since 3.0 software launch, I have of course been enjoying push FINALLY come to light and realized I also wanted push email. Since MM can also do web hosting for an iweb site and that i can get it from amazon for 63 dollars made it seem like an all good deal. Esp. since i take a lot of pictures and the Galleries is far superior to anything else out there with noooo annoying ads. There are plenty of things I like about mobile me but i know apple has promised further features in the future ( or so i heard ). I haven't had really any issues other than a dulicated contacts after my first over the air sync but that was an easy fix and the system seems to run pretty well.

Maybe they will add new web apps that allows us to use their iWorks online service strait from within Mobile Me, that would be cool :)

New for MobileMe?

Quite frankly I wouldn't hold my breath considering Apple's track record for .Mac…
Years of promises. Not much delivered.

I disagree. Apple has done more with MobileMe in one year than all the years they had .Mac. They really seem to be pushing this. If it had more a few more features, it would be a must have product. Like:

-Airdisk access
-Back to my Mac from iPhone

I would assume more stuff that Apple will hype up from months, then at launch time everything goes to hell.

"Back to my Mac" is still not working correctly. Apple needs to fix Mobileme before that add anything.

Well personally they need to lower the price if they truly want people to use this service. 49 dollars a year and they could get 3 times as many people to sign up. They need to add things that appeal to not just people who want push email and photographers (RSS support in the gallery is really a nice bonus). More web support (like not having to make a website in iweb (a powerful but limited program) and things beyond that.

maybe, make it cheeper....and combined with Google Docs, etc.
i might actualy buy it if it was more along the lines of 25, or maybe even 50 if it was cool enough, but 100? come on...

I agree. I think their marketing department is really dumb for not figuring this out themselves....especially in this economy people are cutting back and seeing that price is making a big difference.

Who pays $100 for MobileMe? It's usually $50 to $55 on eBay or Amazon.

I suspect it has more to do with scalability... they are building a new data center in NC... perhaps that will enable them to take on more customers and they can lower the price.

The service is great as it is... anything more is icing on the cake. :)

But while we are wishing, I guess Wordpress blog hosting would be a great addition. Better support for IE would be nice also.
