I want to organize the news feeds on my Macbook Pro and sync them on my iPhone. I believe both Mail and Safari can do this but I'm not sure they're the best for it, given it's not their primary purpose. So I'm wondering what others here use - and why?

Thanks for any input.

I use Google Reader on my Macs (both home and on the work machine).

Never really liked that on the iPhone, and thus never really gotten in to reading the feeds on my phone, but a few weeks ago I found Byline one sale (it was more than 60% off, not sure I'd gotten it at full price).

That seems to do the trick, I log into my Google reader account from Byline, and it even caches articles for off line reading. I still haven't gotten completely used to feed reading on the phone...but I guess I'm slowly getting there. ;)

I second the Newsstand recommendation. After the recent update there is nothing that compares with it. I suggest setting up your feeds with Google Reader then when you open Newsstand you can sync up with it. It has 2-way sync and it works great.

I'm happy with plain Google Reader (the Google mobile version). It's free, and, since it's web-based, all reading is synchronized between the iPhone, Mac, PC, or whatever. Yes, it doesn't support offline reading, but I've never understood why one would want to do offline RSS reading, when all of the RSS links don't work.

I've found Byline to be solid. I've been using it probably for more than a year.

Same here - using Byline with Google Reader. Works great for me.
