Ok, so I am trying to figure out how Apple sets up the movies in iTunes as they are great quality and run on every device. Does anyone know the format that Apple uses for movies on iTunes?

I am tired of ripping DVD's and then encoding, and I am running low on disk space to store both versions, the Rip and Encoded version.

Is there one application that runs on 2011 Mini with Lion that will allow me to Rip, Encode into one format that works on iPhone 4, ATV, Mac Mini, ATV2?

If I use universal on HandBrake the quality suffers.

I use the ATV preset in HB and they play on my iphone4, ATV2, and ipad with no loss in my eyes, but im not as picky as some.

I have issues with the MKV's that are transcoded to ATV2 format on my older ATV and old iTouch.
