Hi, please help me!

I can not figure out what gamepad wireless buy compatible with Lion!!!

I read of Sony Dualshock 3 Controller, is 100% compatible with Lion and bluetooth pairing? Is also compatible with Fifa 12?

If there are many problem with the wireless, what gamepad wired can I buy for my Mac?

Please help me!

I bought a Sony Dualshock 3 controller recently. It's a great controller, but I took it back after two days because the bluetooth pairing was far too wonky. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, and it wasn't predictable. You could get it working, eventually, but it it wouldn't stay connected, and it was obviously something that was going to be a hassle almost every time I used it.

Instead I got a Logitech F310 wired gamepad. Zero configuration, other than to make sure that the switch on the bottom is on D instead of X. Works great. I ordered a second one within six hours so my kid and I can play together.

Is USB? I've been playing Bioshock on my 27" iMac, runs great, but the mm is not really the best gaming device, and I've been away from gaming for quite a while....would the Logitech be a big improvement for me?

It's a wired USB gamepad. This one. It's clearly not as high-end a gamepad as the (over twice as expensive) Sony bluetooth controller I bought, but it works every time and does a fine job.

Regarding Logitech F310 wired, switch on the bottom on D instead of X means that the 2 analogic joystick do not works on Mac?

What games do you play with your Logitech F310?

If others people use other different gamepad on Mac, please tell us!
 
I got Logitech F310 last week to play couple of games i have lying around. It works with Dirt 2 and Arkham Asylum, but not with Bioshock or Assassins Creed 2... Anyway to make it work on these games?
 
I'm a keyboard-and-mouse guy for any sort of first-person shooter, so I haven't tried this myself, but there's an $8 app called Gamepad Companion in the Mac App Store that lets you map keyboard strokes to different buttons on the gamepad and/or axes of a joystick. I've used this for some of my kid's games so that he can use a gamepad. It seems to work. There may be -- probably is -- a cheap or free alternative, but I'm fine with easy.

There seems to be some sort of built-in framework added fairly recently to OS X that supports joysticks; you don't really need all the drivers that you used to have to fiddle with. And games either look for it or they don't. If so, then the gamepad just mostly works without you having to do anything else. If not, then you have to do some kind of workaround like Gamepad Companion.

(I see that some of the reviews for Gamepad Companion give it 1-star because they can't get specific buttons to work in the exact way that they want. To which I would say: if you're the kind of guy who gets angry if you can't get a joystick configured exactly the way you want it, then the Mac is probably the wrong gaming platform to begin with for you anyway.)
 
Luckily i have not had any problems with a Sixaxis / Dualshock 3 on OS X, but another suggestion is to use a USB -> PS2 converter. Most off the shelf ones work without any drivers and most games will recognize it. I use an old radio shack converter and it works great with my emulators.
