What games can I realistically play on my iMac?

By realistically I mean at a comfortable speed, little or no lagging, at medium resolution........
I have a 1.83 Intel Core duo machine, about to be upgraded to 2Gb RAM. The main reason for doing this is to be able to play some of the games out on PC, such as Bioshock, that will take years to come onto the Mac (if ever). To do this I would have to buy Leopard, install boot Camp, buy a copy of Vista or XP, as well as the memory upgrade......a total outlay of about £150 or $300. If my machine can't handle the new games even with the upgrade in RAM, there's no point.........I'd really appreciate some advice on this!

If you aren't an FPS ***** and you are willing to overclock your card and not play at max settings... then you could even play Crysis.

I have a first gen 2.16 Macbook Pro, it runs Bioshock decently at max settings 800x600 or 1024x768 without post processing, the Unreal Tournament 3 demo also runs well (sliders at 4/4 and 1024x768) and I haven't tried Call of Duty 4 but the game runs similar to Bioshock so I'm guessing 800x600 high settings.

Though remember my X1600 is overclocked, it comes stock at 300/300 but I have it around 540/540. I think iMac cards comes clocked much higher stock but I'm not sure.

it seems like you would be better served just buying a 360. don't hate on it just because microsoft makes it.

I probably won't buy a 360 at the moment, though I've been tempted.........noise, overheating, reliability issues etc. Also I was a PC owner for many years before I bought the Mac - I'd be curious about how to overclock the card though, that sounds like a good bet.
