What Graphics card in 2011 iMac?

I stumbled upon this earlier today and posted it in the speculation thread.

It's a GPU dedicated to All-in-ones. No specs released yet (waiting for iMac release maybe?) but I'd say it's a maybe for the iMacs given the specs are an improvement over the current ones. Either that or Mobility 6800's would be my guess.
Am I the only person that would take a thicker iMac if it meant having desktop GPUs? They could even just change the back to have like a bulge or something to make room for it... of course they'll never do that though.

Only available at 6670A ? I don´t think itś an upgrade from current hi-end iMac,
won´t use those chips for next iMac
haha, good one. I expect high-end mobile cards as it has been for quite some time. Perhaps even a 6900M series (labeled as a 6800 of course)

I see what you are saying, but if there's anything that ATI has taught us lately, it is that their naming conventions make absolutely no sense so you can't go purely based on that. Until the specs are released, we can't know. It could be that they're developing a special set of cards for iMacs that will give them a little more oomph than a mobility card. It wouldn't be the first time apple worked with a graphics company....
Then again, the mobility chips have been a winning formula so far; why change? Hopefully we'll all be pleasantly surprised, and hopefully this Tuesday.

The current 5750 in the iMac is really a 5850m. A desktop 5750 would smoke it.
A 6850m is slower than a 5850m.
The only mobility radeon cards that are faster than the current iMac are the 6950m and the 6970m. And the 6950m isn't much faster but it's 2gb of ram will help with the higher resolution of the 27" iMac.
So the best we can hope for is a 6970m

Question, OP, what do you expect to gain from this thread? If you say you have already seen many predictions, what do you expect to happen here that will add to those predictions?

As long as it is some what of an improvement then i dont really care, i just want it to hurry up and get here already
Seems more targeted at the low- to mid-range market from the naming and the way they advertise it. Maybe something for the base models, but not the high-end versions.
+1, I'd love to have a desktop graphics card in the iMac, at least as a BTO option. Apple is always throwing the most high-end CPUs into their machines but it's actually the graphics card that ages fastest in modern PCs. I'd rather have an i7-2400S with a faster graphics card instead of the high-end i7-2600 (which we are very likely to see in the top-of-the-line model).Am I the only person that would take a thicker iMac if it meant having desktop GPUs? The iMac will never be a hardcore gaming machine (and I don't expect it to be), but as a casual gamer, I don't want to be forced to turn down the details in a one year old game on a brand new, fully spec'ed, $2000+ machine.
I have to say, though: The situation has become a lot better starting in 2009 when they started offering the 4850. That was the first "good" graphics card for this machine.
Tells about as much as the iOS screenshots that pop up in Android phone ads every few weeks.
Graphics like these are usually made by external companies that either have no clue or simply don't care.
Almost no company employs internal staff for stuff like this anymore these days.
